About:
Mezhrabpom was an independent film studio financed by foreign capital in 1921 under the New Economic Policy (NEP). In 1926, it acquired the pre-Revolutionary film studio Rus and was renamed Mezhrabpom-Rus. It was nationalized in 1928 and renamed Mezhrabpomfilm (under this name, it has a different Animator.ru entry), and ceased to exist after 1937. Some more information here.
