This film is part of the Merry-Go-Round series.

Description:

Includes: "Why Does the Lion Have a Big Mane?" (by Orlova & Bogomolova, adapting Moshkovskaya's poem about how the lion got a haircut), "The Orange" (by Barinova, adapting Zubkova's poem about animals sharing an orange), "The Tin Can" (by Bardin, about a boy who ties a tin can to a cat's leg).

Emma Moshkovskaya's full original poem about the lion can be read here. Lyudmila Zubkova's poem about the orange can be read here. Both poems are shortened, and the first is slightly modified.
