Description:

A childless woman raises a magic Swan Feather as her daughter. A story from the Amur region in far-east Siberia.

The Amur river is the 10th biggest river in the world and is the border river east of Mongolia between Russia and North-East China, then flowing along the Russian Pacific coast to end in the Sea of Okhotsk at the north point of Sakhalin Island.
As she always does, director Lidiya Surikova weaves in many authentic folk-art elements into her animation - in this case, it comes from regional indigenous Indian/Central Asian peoples*. (* Udega or Evenki would be my guess) --Eus
