The transformation of Vietnamese language through word "Heaven" : Thiên 天 (classical times) → Blời (XVIII century) → Giời (XIX century) → Trời (XX century).

Story of the Jade Hares is an animated film produced by Vietnam Animation Studio in 1967. It is often considered a sequel to Soon There Will Be Rain. The film was released in a time when North Vietnam was facing many difficulties because of the widespread war, causing all basic cinema equipment to be very poor or lacking. The film is also a metaphor for the life situation at that time.

On the night of Mid-Autumn Festival, while the animals were dancing and singing happily, the Bear appeared and swallowed the Moon. The Hares, who are very shy, must now gather their friends in the forest to defeat the Bear and rescue the Moon. The film also partly explains the lunar eclipse phenomenon according to Vietnamese folk beliefs.
