Description:
A homeless Londoner, looking for a place to sleep, crawls into a cannon that is about to be fired and unwittingly begins a trip around the world. At the same time, a gentleman from Jules Verne's novel begins a more famous trip.
Our "hero" manages to act in a movie, take part in a robbery and get married, only to turn back and start the journey again.
The film is mostly wordless except for the introductory and concluding poems. It has a jazz song in the middle sung in nonsense-English and an operatic song in the second half sung in nonsense-Italian.
This seems to have been the last of David Cherkasskiy's cartoons that was released only in Ukrainian (or at least, the Russian version has not yet turned up). Animator.ru says the date is 1973, but Ukranimafilm's official YouTube channel says it is 1972. There is no date on the film itself (at least, not on this copy of it).
