Description:
An owl is assigned to become a traffic light in order to stop accidents at a forest intersection.
The fifth colour (puppet) animation made by Mosfilm, using some of the same puppets as earlier films by the puppet animation division of the studio (led by Aleksandr Ptushko).
The story hearkens back to the first Soviet traffic light, which was installed in Moscow in May 1932.
Image restored in 2009 by Nikolay Mayorov, and premiered in 2010. However, the sound quality is still very bad in many places. The homepage of the restoration on Mayorov's site is here.
