Description:
A family of hares is evicted from their home by a fox, but then a hunter with a rifle comes along...
The production was begun under director Vladimir Suteyev, who unexpectedly left the studio midway through because of an unrequited romance. The film was then taken over by Panteleymon Sazonov (as senior director) and Roman Davydov (in his first directing credit).
Sergey Mihalkov, who wrote the screenplay, later adapted it into another animated puppet film in 1976 and then published it in a modified version in 1981.
