Description:

A competition between two suitors of a young lady plays out in a nameless African country. There's also some behind-the-scenes footage.

The film is about how one cannot judge people only by appearance - only in trials are true loyalty and courage tested.

The actual screenwriter was Aleksey Adzhubey, who was blacklisted at the time and therefore used the pseudonym A. Rodionov.

In the live-action footage at the beginning and end, the animator-puppeteer is played by actor Viktor Filippov. The footage demonstrates to the viewer the principles of "time-lapse" photography in puppet animation.
