The title of the film, "tsutisopeli", is one of those words unique to the Georgian language, and commonly used within it. It refers to the transient nature of life, which is all too brief. There is no official English translation for the word, or for this film; the chosen title is one possibility.

The Georgian song is performed by the male chorus of the Sioni Cathedral by the regent Nodar Kiknadze.

Albrecht Durer's black-and-white art is used in the film.
